Bacs inform services users of indemnity claims in a DDIC advice report, which they can download from the Bacs website or receive through the Bottomline solution ( depending on which product you are using).
DDICA's debits service users accounts and credits the claimants bank account to settle indemnity claims. However, service users can challenge claims before the ninth working day in the settlement cycle. Otherwise, the system will debit the service users account 14 days after it has submitted a DDIC advice report.
