How to set up User roles and Permissions
User permissions are all managed via the Roles option under Settings.
To create a new role click New Role
The role must have a "short" name and description - when you allocate the role to the user it will be the short name you will see.
The Permissions for the module you are configuring need to be enabled - in this case Payments.
There are 2 areas of Permissions you will set in this screen; what actions the user can perform and what profiles the user has access to, to perform the actions.
There are then 2 further options available; standard permissions or advanced matrix permissions.
Standard permissions to all profiles
In the example below, the user has the ability to Create Payments, Approve Payments, view Archived Payments and Report Actions. The box that enables the user to Approve files that they have uploaded has not been ticked.
This set of actions can be tailored to one or more profiles.
Advance Matrix Permissions
Advanced Matrix Permissions can then be applied to the role by clicking Matrix Permissions.
This role can be customised further, by adding or removing specific actions to and from specific profiles.
Once finished, click Save Role.
The role can now be allocated to a user from the Settings and Users screen.
Multiple Approvers
The Approve Module enables the setup of profile specific workflows that allow for multiple approvers per batch.
In terms of role, the user who will be a part of this multiple approval simply needs the Approve action ticked against the profile this relates to.
To enable PTX require multiple approvers, it must be set that up against the payment profile itself.
Navigate to Settings, select Payment Profiles and then select the specific payment profile.
Select the amount of approvers required for this profile and click Save Changes.
