The requirement for a strong password within PTX Payments are:
- 8 Characters Minimum
- 1 Lowercase Character
- 1 Uppercase Character
- 1 Number
Users are allowed a maximum of three strikes on entering a wrong password; after this, the account is locked-out and must be reset by a system administrator.
A system administrator can be one of your own admin users or Bottomline.
Please be aware that you have 72 hours to set up your new password from the time the reset email was sent. After this, you’ll need to request a new password reset.
If a PTX session is left idle, PTX will prompt a user after a nine minute interval that the session has become stale as will automatically log the user off. The session will automatically be logged off one minute after this prompt (10 minutes window).
The passwords expire every 60 days and a notification will be sent out to your email address that you use to log in 10 days before the expiry.
You may need to clear your browsing history and saved passwords if you have any problems with your user name and password.
