Overview:
In line with BACS processing rules and the 3 Working Day process, Bank holidays are referred to as non-processing days. These non-processing days means that the date is not considered in the 3 day working period and therefore needs to be taken into consideration when choosing your payment date.
For example if you sent a file to BACS on Monday the 4th of April, the earliest processing day would be the 5th April and the earliest Payment date would be the 6th April. If the 5th happened to be a bank holiday, the earliest processing day would then become the 6th and the earliest payment date would become the 7th.
Please note the processing date is always the working day before the payment date
