You can validate a UK account using PTX Verify.
Single Account
- Log in to the PTX Verify User Interface.
- Click the National Banking tab.
- Select Single for validation type.
- Enter Sort code, Account number and Roll number (optional).
- Click Validate account.
- If the account is valid then its details will be displayed including transaction types and bank contact information.
Multiple Accounts
You can validate multiple accounts by uploading a batch file.
- Log in to the PTX Verify User Interface.
- Click National Banking tab.
- Click Batch for validation type.
- Click Select file to upload a file.
- Select the file format.
- CSV - plain text format in which values are separated by commas (Comma Separated Values)
- Fixed-width - fixed-width text file arranged in rows and columns, with one entry per row. Each column has a fixed width, specified in characters, which determines the maximum amount of data it can contain. No delimiters are used to separate the fields in the file.
- Specify which columns that Sort Code, Account no. and Roll No. can be found.
- To exclude the validation of rows at the beginning or end of the file, select Ignore rows at the beginning or end of the file, and then choose which first and last rows to ignore.
- To have email confirmation after processing, select Send me an email when finished processing, and then enter the email address.
- Click Validate file.
- Click View for the batch within Processing Batches to view the validation results.
- Results can be filtered to show All results, Valid results or Invalid results.
- Results can be printed or exported to CSV file using the Print and Export to CSV options.
