How do I verify ownership of a UK account?

You can verify a UK account using PTX Verify entering sort code, account number, name and address details.

1. Log in to the PTX Verify User Interface.
2. Click the Account Verify tab.
3. Within Bank account details, enter the Sort code and Account number.
4. Click Validate account.
   
5. The account is validated.
   
   • If the account is valid then the supported transaction types are displayed.
     
   • If the account is not valid then a message will be displayed.
     
6. Enter the Personal Information details. Title, First name and Last name are mandatory. Middle name and Date of birth are optional.
7. Enter the Current address details. Click more fields to enter Street, Town and County.
8. Click Search.
   
9. The search result will be displayed.
   • If addresses that match the criteria are found then they will be listed.
     Select the address from the Matching addresses drop down list.
     The address will be displayed.
   • If there are no addresses that match the criteria then a message will be displayed.
     
10. Enter the previous address if required.
11. Select Individual consents to verify ownership check.
12. Click Verify ownership.
13. The result will be displayed.
